But, deeply flawed beings, highly insecure beings, that spend much of their time fighting for “their” part of this dot. A planet that all these beings (us) will, ironically, spend only an infinitesimal time on.

Beings more interested in accruing tokens of how much they own and control; willing to steal their neighbours’ resources and enslave them; willing to kill their neighbours for greed. Lands laid to waste on such a tiny pearl.

If only they could look up at the stars surrounding this tiny, tiny, special blue planet and realise that all of them look at the same heavens, stars and moon.

Maybe then we, those beings, could learn to live together and to respect our planet, Earth, leaving it ready for those who will follow and for all the other life-forms than inhabit our remarkable home.

Maybe they could share some stories.
